Since RxTeach began in 2021, our team has grown substantially! We now have 10 regular contributors, including PharmD students, post-doc fellows, clinical pharmacists, professors, and industry professionals.

Below, you will be able to read more about our authors, their backgrounds, and what kind of content they will be sending to your inbox. Gennie Liu

Gennie is a PharmD candidate at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. She is involved in IPhO, AMCP, and PDX. Gennie has a strong interest in clinical development, regulatory affairs, and pharmacovigilance. Outside of the pharmacy world, she enjoys running, Pilates, and trying new restaurants across the Twin Cities. Gennie’s articles will explore topics related to industry pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, and oncology!

Dylan Hembrough

Dylan Hembrough is a PharmD candidate at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) School of Pharmacy and a part-time intern at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. Dylan also serves as the editor-in-chief of The Alestle, a student-run newspaper at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. After graduation, he hopes to specialize in psychiatric pharmacy. In his free time, he likes reading, writing, genealogy, and studying religion. 

Dylan is most likely to cover clinical topics and eventually mental health as well. He also runs a column called “Apothecary’s Apprentice,” where he takes the reader through the history and general description of common drugs with origins in the natural world. 

Ricky Jobe

Ricky is a PharmD/MBA student at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Pharmacy and a part-time pharmacist intern at SSM Health and CVS Health. He currently serves as President of the SIUE chapter of the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists (SSHP). Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys attending concerts, going to the gym, and playing pickleball. Ricky's articles will focus on clinical pharmacy, especially related to cardiometabolic disease and acute care.

Jarret Morgan, PharmD

Jarret Morgan is a PharmD graduate from Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville and a current Neuroscience Medical Affairs / Medical Science Liaison Fellow at Genentech. In his free time, Jarret is a mediocre runner, a historic state champion powerlifter, and has achieved a total level over 2,000 on his OSRS Ironman account.

Jarret's articles will mostly focus on neuroscience, industry pharmacy, professional development, and pharmacology.

Michael Forst, PharmD

Michael Forst is based in Chicago, IL, and obtained his PharmD at UIC College of Pharmacy. After graduation, he completed a fellowship in Global Regulatory Affairs at BeiGene, now BeOne Medicines. Following his fellowship, he started working at Nucleate, supporting healthtech and biotech startups in the Chicagoland area. He recently started a new position within Marketing [CORE] at Amgen. In a side interest, he is working with VC Lab, gaining experience across accelerator programs and venture capital.

He has two sisters and a twin brother. He has four nieces and nephews, two of which are also twins! It is so special watching them grow. He loves exercising, photography, any and all sports, and cheering for the Fighting Illini.

Michael's future articles will cover industry news and developments, marketing and commercial considerations in pharma, oncology and cardiology topics among other TA's, health & wellness, and fitness. Please do not hesitate to reach out to him!

Jordan Fortunato, PharmD

Jordan Fortunato is a licensed pharmacist and hematology/oncology Medical Science Liaison (MSL) at Incyte covering the New England territory. He completed pharmacy school at The Ohio State University, a postdoctoral fellowship at Incyte in Medical Affairs affiliated with SJU, and is currently pursuing an MBA in Pharmaceutical Healthcare Marketing. In his free time, Jordan is an avid endurance athlete, having recently completed his first Ironman Triathlon.

Jordan's articles will cover many topics including: fitness, health/wellness, hematology, oncology, industry, medical affairs, and personal finance.

Justin Shiau, PharmD

Dr. Justin Shiau is a current Clinical Assistant Professor at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester, Massachusetts. He completed his pharmacy education at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Pharmacy. He then went on to complete a Postgraduate Year 1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital and a 3-year Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy Fellowship at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. In his free time, Justin enjoys running, badminton, gaming, and spending time with his friends and family.

Justin's articles will mostly focus on clinical topics, infectious diseases, internal medicine, and academia/education.

Kristen Lindauer, PharmD, Vice President RxTeach

Kristen Lindauer is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Infectious Diseases and HIV at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and Vice President of RxTeach. Kristen graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy from Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville in 2021 with a degree specialization in education. In 2022, she completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program and went on to earn her BCPS credential. After 18 months as a clinical inpatient pharmacist at Sentara Norfolk, she was promoted to an ambulatory care position in Infectious Diseases/HIV to coordinate care between the Sentara Health 340b program, Eastern Virginia Medical Group Infectious Diseases clinic, and Proprium Specialty Pharmacy. Shortly after taking this position, she earned her HIV Pharmacist certification from the American Academy of HIV Medicine. She also maintains a clinical inpatient pharmacist position in Sentara Health to help teach students, interns, and residents, as well as fill scheduling gaps for other hospitals in the Sentara network. In her free time, she volunteers at her local Pregnancy Care Center, trains for endurance events, bakes, and travels with her husband.

Kristen's focus is clinical pharmacy, sharing journal clubs, medication pearls, drug interactions, dosing strategies, and pharmacy practice tips from her everyday clinical work in both the ambulatory and inpatient settings. She also enjoys writing about health and wellness topics related to nutrition for the body and daily movement.

Brentsen Wolf, PharmD, President RxTeach

Brentsen Wolf is a Senior Medical Science Liaison with expertise in gynecologic oncology, thoracic malignancies, and head and neck cancers. He currently focuses on providing ovarian and endometrial cancer clinical trials and education to major academic and community oncology sites in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. He believes that all cancer patients should have access to clinical trials regardless of location, income, or network.

Brentsen is also the President and Founder of RxTeach, a 501c(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing free education to students, healthcare providers, and patients on topics such as clinical pharmacy, preventive medicine, and professional development. RxTeach is the proud sponsor of multiple student scholarships in both Schools of Pharmacy and the Departments of Exercise, Sport, and Nutrition Sciences. 

Brentsen graduated from the SIUE School of Pharmacy in 2021 and went on to complete a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in solid tumor malignancies through the Rutgers Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship Program, where he served as the Chief Fellow overseeing roughly 300 PharmD and MD fellows across 23 biotech and pharmaceutical companies.

Most importantly, Brentsen is a proud husband and dedicated father to his 2 young children.

Brentsen's articles will mostly focus on health and wellness, oncology, critical thinking, and professional development.
