YFP Gives Scholarship 2026

Today, we highlight an incredible opportunity for all our student pharmacists, residents, and fellows! The YFP (Your Financial Pharmacist) Gives scholarships are LIVE and accepting applications for 2026!

YFP Gives has many incredible board members, but I can speak personally about Tim Ulbrich, PharmD, Co-Founder & CEO, Your Financial Pharmacist. I first met Tim when I was a fellow in the Rutgers Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship Program 5 years ago. I had arranged for Tim to give a talk to the entire cohort of fellows regarding financial literacy and planning. Tim was an incredible speaker, and he genuinely wants the best for his clients. Being the good guy that he is, Tim and YFP Gives are offering 10 scholarships for students this year! See below for details.

YFP Gives Scholarship

The YFP Gives Scholarship helps reduce the financial burden associated with obtaining the PharmD degree.

In 2026, (10) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to student pharmacists, residents, or fellows.

In addition to the monetary award, scholarship recipients will receive:

• A 30-Minute ‘Ask Me Anything’: Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to schedule a 30-Minute ‘Ask Me Anything’ session with one of YFP’s co-founders: Tim Baker, CFP, RICP, RLP or Tim Ulbrich, PharmD.
• Copy of Seven Figure Pharmacist: Co-authored by Tim Church, PharmD, BCACP, CDE, and Tim Ulbrich, PharmD, Seven Figure Pharmacist is the #1 financial resource for pharmacy professionals.

Application Criteria

To be eligible for the $1,000 award, applicants must complete an online application form that includes submission of the following:

• A current resume or CV
• One recommendation using the YFP Gives Scholarship Recommendation Form (see application for more details)
• Student Applicants Only: One letter from the faculty advisor (or another representative within the College of Pharmacy) that verifies the student is in good academic standing.
• A video recording (no more than 3 minutes) from the applicant that (1) provides an introduction of yourself, (2) explains why you are pursuing a career in pharmacy, and (3) addresses how you would benefit from the scholarship and included resources.

FAQ Answers

• Timeline? Applications are due by 11:59pm EST on April 30, 2026 and the winners will be announced no later than August 15, 2026.
• How are winners selected? The selection committee will include the trustees of YFP Gives (except for one officer) along with 3-5 volunteer reviewers voted upon by the trustees. For the applications that meet the criteria outlined above, each member of the selection committee will review the applications and score them utilizing the rubric provided. After the applications are reviewed and scored, aggregate scores and comments will be provided to the selection committee for discussion and to select the scholarship winners.
• Can you win more than once? No. To ensure the scholarship can impact as many individuals as possible, applicants are eligible to receive the YFP Gives scholarship one time.
• Is preference given to certain applicants? In addition to the criteria outlined above, preference may be given to those students who are first generation college and/or are an underrepresented minority. Applicants that are first generation college and/or an underrepresented minority should note that in their essay.
• Who is eligible? Student pharmacist applicants must be enrolled in ACPE accredited PharmD program and be in good academic standing. Resident or fellow applicants must be active in their training program at the time of application. Furthermore, relatives of members of the selection committee, officers, directors, or substantial contributors are not eligible for the scholarship.
